Cart paths and walkway paving

Golf cart paths are the lifeblood of public and even some exclusively private golf courses.
Without cart paths, the turf would get stressed and it would create a messy scene, especially after heavy snowfall or rain.
Some people look for golf cart paths alternatives like stone, gravel, sand and wood chips but that doesn't work everywhere, only in very specific locations where it is dry and flat. It would be more of a headache than something else to maintain the paths since you have to brush him periodically, especially after heavy rainfall!
Safety is another thing to consider when you are contemplating whether you should install paved concrete paths or alternatives. Going down on a wet slope of turf is neither fun nor safe for a golf cart. The safest way is to install paved cart paths, no doubt!
Paved card pads are perfectly safe for golf carts to drive on, even during heavy rains and they will allow the golfers to transport themselves safely throughout your golf course.
Concrete or asphalt paved cart paths are the way to go if you are looking for something that will last you for decades. Paved paths are very low maintenance: you won’t need to be pulling out weeds or keep the paths in place after heavy rains!

Cart path repair

Keep your paths clean and pristine!
It is normal due to wear and tear, that over time your cart path can get damaged, especially when it's highly trafficked. There can appear cracks, holes and chips on the cart path, which makes it hazardous to use and which can cause damage to the golf carts.
At times, maybe even emergency vehicles or maintenance trucks will use the paths. Vehicles can cause damage to the paths,  especially when the sub-grade is in poor condition.

That's why it's important to properly maintain your golf cart paths.

We specialize in repairing and maintaining cart paths. Pavement season runs from April till November in the Northern parts of the country, and goes all year round in the southern parts, where it is much warmer year round. Cart path construction and repair can only be done in those months that the season is running.

Bike trails & walking paths

We have been in the pavement industry for many years and paved everything you can imagine, from roads to parking lots to driveways. You name It, we paved it. While we will still take on any type of paving project, we tend to specialize in golf cart path paving, bike trails and walking paths.

How wide should a cart path be?

Cart path requires a pavement width of a minimum of 5 feet, but that is the bare minimum. For golf courses, the width of the cart path for one-way traffic is suggested to be at least seven feet, for two-way traffic ten feet.
While these are only suggestions, every golf course can of course decide to make the paths wider for the convenience and safety of the users.

Card paths get wider around clubhouse areas, parking lots, restrooms and when there is a lot of turning. An additional widening on sharp curves is also recommended.

There can be design limitations and special requirements, depending on where your golf course is located.

Pavement thickness for an asphalt golf cart path should be a minimum of 6 inches, depending on the subgrade material. The base should be thicker If the sub-grade material is poor.

For bike paths and walkways, the same pavement thickness applies.

The limit slope of a cart path is 15%.
